Refugee is a five-piece live band dedicated to capturing the sound, spirit and energy of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers — without wigs, costumes or gimmicks. The band features the classic Heartbreakers configuration of lead vocals and guitar, lead guitar, keyboards, bass and drums, allowing the music to be performed the way it was meant to be heard. What sets Refugee apart is simple: the look doesn't have to be manufactured. The musicians naturally bring the appearance and stage presence audiences associate with the Heartbreakers, but the real focus is the music.
